How it Works:
|
|
Each mobile tour is organized along geographic, industry and timeline boundaries.
With respect to these criteria, exhibitors evaluate the variety of prospective OEM
companies available and cast their “votes” for the accounts they would prefer to target.
|
|
As such, exhibitors collectively designate which companies will be scheduled for a visit
during each tour.
|
The EDN MobileExpo exhibition is staged from within one or more large custom mobile showroom
trailers. These 65’ combination mobile units are equipped with self-contained (40kw)
generator power, distributed electrical, heat/air conditioning,

carpeting, lighting, literature & storage facilities and many other amenities.
|
Exhibitors purchase exhibit space in standard five or ten foot pre-fabricated “kiosk”
booths. These booths are self-lighted, self-powered and anchored to the interior
walls of the mobile exhibition trailer. Exhibitors cutomize and complete their
display presentation by furnishing a display panel and/or demo accessories, literature, etc.
Exhibitors assign their own local salesperson to staff their booth at each OEM facility
to personally meet and qualify each attendee, explain or demonstrate products and
distribute information.
The EDN MobileExpo is promoted as a multi-vendor traveling product exhibition showcasing
new products and services from a variety of leading suppliers, complete with qualified
sales representatives in attendance. Scheduled OEM site visits are pre-approved,
internally publicized and typically hosted by the hosting company’s engineering department.
Along with the unique exposure exhibitors receive from taking advantage of the MobileExpo,
EDN Magazine (Cahners Publishing) supports their investment with a special saturation
promotion program designed to inform, alert and welcome all interested plant personnel
to attend the event when it visits their facility. This includes an advertisement in
the magazine notifying readers about the tour, hosting locations dates & times, plus
mention of the exhibitors in the Expo. Additionally, direct mail, email, bulletin board
posters, flyers and scripted copy for company newsletter coverage etc. is sent to each host
facility for internal distribution.
